MILLERS GET BOUNCED IN QUARTERFINALS AT 2007 ROY HOBBS

The Millers had a sub-par year in Florida despite having one of their strongest ever teams. They dropped their first two games to the Chicago Knights and the Destin Dawgs.  Both were winnable games but bad defense and poor pitching more than made up for the offensive firepower.  The team looked much better in their next two games outscoring their opponents 32 to 6.  Unfortunately, they didn't fare too well in their final two games and missed out on playing on Championship Saturday for the first time ever.  Check out the Game Info page for all the gory details.  We'll keep updating the site as best as possible.

A special shout out to our friends back in the Cities and Rochester from the Top 'O the Mast!

Welcome to the home of the Minneapolis Millers Baseball Team.  The Millers are a group of guys that play summer baseball for a variety of teams in the Twin Cities metro area.  They also come together for a few games during the summer as well as playing a full fall league schedule before they travel to Fort Myers, Florida to play in the Roy Hobbs World Series.  In past years they have played under the name of the Minnesota Saints but in 2003 there was a management shakeup that led to a name and uniform change.  The name was taken from the old minor league team that used to play at Nicollet Park in south Minneapolis.  To honor that team they have modeled their uniforms on that team's uniform from the early 1950's.

The old Millers team played in the American Association from 1902 to 1960 and spent most of their tenure with the Red Sox and Giants organizations.  Some notable stars that played for the Millers include Hall Of Famers Roger Bresnahan, Jimmy Collins, Urban 'Red' Faber, Bill McKechnie, George Kelly, Billy Herman, Ted Williams, Ray 'Dandy' Dandridge, Willie Mays, Zack Wheat, Rube Waddell, Hoyt Wilhelm, Monte Irvin, Orlando Cepeda and Carl Yastrzemski.  And the great Jimmie Foxx was a Millers coach in 1958.

We try to keep this website updated as much as possible so that our fans at home can follow our progress.  So check back often for updates.  Thanks for being a part of the Millers family!
