Game 1 Sunday, 11/1 vs.Fort Myers Hooters  at PDC 5 10:00am 9-4 Win

Game Recap:   Jeff Patterson hit the first pitch in the bottom of the 1st inning into left field and Mike Carrell followed with a single of his own. Unfortunately, we couldn't do much after that. We eventually loaded the bases but could not score. We gave up a single run in the 2nd and answered with one of our own in the 3rd. Burnsy pitched 7 good innings getting stronger all the time. We had numerous hits early but finnally started driving in some runs in the 5th and 6th. Berf had a two run blast to left and Carrell was 3 for 5 with a double. Dan Paulson went 2 for 3 and knocked in two runs and Rudy was 2 for 4. Carrell pitched the final two innings giving up 3 runs in the 9th. Overall it was a good win, the weather is hot and humid, even by Florida standards.

Game 2 Monday, 11/2 vs. the Jupiter Hammerheads City of Palms Stadium 10:00am 13-6 Win

Game Recap:  We started a little slow in this game and were down 3-0 to ex-big leaguer Dante Bichette and the Hammerheads after three innings. Eventually, however, our bats came alive and we scored 13 runs in the 4th, 6th and 7th innings. Doug Ohs was 3 for 3, Jeff Patterson was 2 for 2, Mike Carrell was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and Rob Beard pitched 6+ solid innings for the win.

Game 3 Monday, 11/2 vs. the Covington Orioles City of Palms practice field 1:45pm 13-6 Win

Game Recap:  Again we started slowly and were down 6-3 after three innings to a team that didn't seem all that good. They got a bunch of bloop hits off of Brian Rudesill and pushed five runs across the plate in the 3rd. Once again our bats eventually woke up and we started scoring some runs. Doug Ohs continued on his hot streak going 3 for 4, Carrell was 3 for 5, Patterson was 2 for 4 and Berf was 2 for 5. Rudy pitched a nice game even though he struggled a bit and i kept pushing him to go back out inning after inning and eventually we got the win for him. Burnsy came in a recorded a three inning save.

Game 4 Tuesday, 11/3 vs. the Washington Monuments Lee County 5  1:45pm 13-1 Win

Game Recap:  We finally started out strong scoring 6 in the top of the first and we just kept rolling from there. Kent Rogers pitched a strong six innings after not having pitched in months. He struck out 6 while walking only 1. Dan Paulson kept up his strong performance going 3 for 3 while knocking in 2, Vern Radewald was 4 for 5 with 2 RBI, Rudy and Doug Ohs were both 2 for 4 and Berf was 2 for 5. After four games we have a team batting average of .391 and we feel confident going into the double-elim playoffs as the 3 seed.
